National Map Guitars were made in the USA from 1958-64 by Valco and sold through Montgomery Ward. This Airline Map is a tribute to the National Newport Guitar from 1962. Today they are played by people like David Bowie, The Cure, Calexico and White Stripes. Original Map Res-O-Glas models now sell for $3,000-$5,000.
Born in Poland, Magdalena Frohnsdorff is a naïve art painter, currently living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Magda is specializing in acrylic medium, and her art is characterized by simplicity achieved by a strong use of pattern, bright bold colours, and an equal accuracy to details no matter the distance in the composition. She paints landscapes, cities, animals and flowers and especially likes to paint water. Famous artists who inspired Magda are Terry Harrison, L.S. Lowry, David Hockney, Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin, and Miroslav Sasek. Magda completed an online course in 2013 (coursera.org): Introduction to Art& Concepts& Techniques.
